Sekani Solomon
Sekani Solomon is a motion designer and director based in New York City.
Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Sekani attended Savannah College of Art Design where he earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Motion Media Design. He was a staff designer at studio Imaginary Forces before going freelance in 2016. He has worked with companies including Method, Psyop, MPC, Rare Volume, and Apple and has contributed to title sequences for TV series Manhattan (2014), Vinyl (2016), and Godless (2017), and film Black Panther (2018).
In 2015, the Manhattan main titles were awarded the Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design and the SXSW Excellence in Title Design Award. In 2016, the Vinyl main titles were nominated for the Emmy Award and in 2018, the Godless main title sequence received special jury recognition at the SXSW Excellence in Title Design Awards.
